Anastasia Patch September 16, 2024

Date of Funeral

September 23, 2024

Anastasia Aliyah Theresa Patch, who was born on April 8, 2002, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Seven Hills Pediatric Center in Groton, MA. She was 22 years old. Anastasia lived a life of happiness, quality, dignity, and peace, all the things   Sarah and James hoped Anastasia would experience in her life. She is survived by her younger brothers, Jaxon and Isaac, her grandparents, Betty and Brad Patch, her G-d Mother, Libby MacQuarrie, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. And Grover, the family dog.

Anastasia had many friends who were considered to be part of her family. Among those “family members” were the healthcare professionals who provided care and treatment for her.  Her doctors at Boston Children’s Hospital, the staff at Seven Hills Pediatric Center, The Kennedy Day School, and various healthcare professionals that worked in the home before she moved to Seven Hills Pediatric Center of Groton in June 2022. Despite her different abilities, Anastasia did many community service projects such as greeting individuals at a soup kitchen, giving out waters to runners at the North Shore Hospice Run, helping with Jaxon’s Bar Mitzvah service project at Cradles to Crayons, and just recently, she was the greeter for Seven Hills Pediatric Center’s family picnic, and various other projects in and out of school. Her winning smile, laughter, and personality brought all people together. Anastasia loved holding babies, meeting younger kids who wanted to know about her, and anyone who just wanted to talk. She enjoyed hippotherapy, music therapy, music in general, shopping, people watching, being read to, and most of all, school. Her family was blessed to have her for many years longer than the doctors expected. We thank G-d for the additional time we had with her.
