Our family mourns the passing of Estelle Litin (Weinstein) of Canton, formerly of Sharon who entered into rest on June 9, 2026 at the age of 95.
Estelle was born in 1930 in Brooklyn, NY and was a devoted daughter to the late Abraham and Eva (Cohen) Weinstein. The family followed the Jewish migration to Long Island in the 1940s moving to Baldwin. It was there that she met her husband Murray at a temple dance. They were married for 49 years before his passing in 2003.
Following a job opportunity, they moved to Sharon in 1962 where they raised their family. They spent winters in Florida during retirement.
She is survived by her loving children, Russell Litin and his wife Leah, Lisa Litin and her husband Louis Kruger. She was a cherished grandmother to their children with whom she had a special bond, Alena Litin and her partner Lukas Fellner, Ariel Kruger and her husband Ross Merkin, Jeremy Kruger and his wife Jacqueline, and Kira Litin and her partner David Heckenberg. Estelle was also fortunate enough to meet her great-granddaughter, Elise Shay Merkin.
Estelle is also survived by nieces Judy Weinstein and Lydia Sherwood. She is pre-deceased by her brother Frank Weinstein and his wife Eleanor and their son, her nephew Gary Warren.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Estelle’s wonderful caregivers who provided such special care, comfort, respect and dignity.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband Murray on June 12, 2026, on what would have been their 72nd anniversary.
Burial is private.
