JoAnne S. George, formerly of Canton, MA passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025 at 88 years of age.
She was the devoted daughter of Harry and Amelia (Corkland) Strauss.
JoAnne was the mother of Taryne Beer, David & Christine George as well as Rachel & Greg Widberg. She was the cherished Mema of Jon & Kalimah, Matt & Taylor, Sarah, Alex & Laura, Tommy & Maria, Maggie & Mikala, Nate, Claire & Tess. She was also blessed to know her 5 great-grandchildren.
JoAnne was the dear sister of recently deceased Madelyn Bailey.
She loved dogs, books and helping others, which was evidenced in her everyday life. JoAnne will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A funeral service will be held at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington St., Canton, MA on Tuesday, December 16th at 1:00PM.
