Steven Furman of West Bridgewater, formerly of Sharon, passed away on Friday evening, April 18, 2025 at 77 years of age. Born in Boston, he was the devoted son of the late George & Dorothy (Cohen) Furman. Steven grew up in Sharon with his younger brother Bruce and graduated from Sharon High School with the class of 1966. After High School, Steven worked in a family business before joining the Army Reserves. Later, he started his own successful liquidation business which continued throughout his entire professional career. In 1970, Steven married Barbara Cohen, they settled in Sharon where they raised their two daughters, Rebecca and Amanda. Barbara had been a cancer survivor for a long time and been in remission for over 20 years when the disease returned. Sadly, she passed away on December 7, 2012. Steven met Donna Wolfe, when she was working at Sharon Memorial Park. He was ordering the cemetery plaque for Barbara and Donna assisted him with that process. Steven was extremely impressed with the elevated level of Donna’s customer service because they were married four years later in 2016. Steven and Donna created a large, blended family, comprised of Steven’s daughters, Rebecca McCormick & her partner Adam Trukus and Amanda Findlay & her husband Bob. Donna’s children, Alexis Buchanio & her husband Nick, Carey Bishop and Brad Wolfe & his partner Christina. Their combined five children brought 10 grandchildren into Steven & Donna’s lives; Zachary, Blake, Jack, Jackson Anthony, Jocelyn Antonella, Eddie West, Emerson Lilly, Harper, Grace, Ryann Noel and Cadie. Steven is also survived by his brother, Bruce Furman & his longtime partner, Maureen Spring. Steven’s funeral service will be held at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street, Canton on Friday, April 25th at 10AM.
