Leon Ellis Brown of Randolph passed away on Saturday evening,  January 18th at 76 years of age. He was born in Boston, the son of the late Barnet & Anne (Rosen) Brown. Leon is survived by his sister Roberta Small & her husband Joel of Sharon. He was the devoted uncle to Bruce Small & his wife Elizabeth (Baumann) Small and Randy Small & his wife Joanna (Shapiro) Small. He was the great uncle of Tyler Small and Kevin Small. Leon lived life to its fullest. He was loving and generous to his family and friends. He was a member of the South Area Jewish Community Center in Stoughton before it was taken over by the YMCA. Leon belonged to the swimming pool there where he spent many happy summer days. His sudden death was a shock to his family, and he will be missed by his family and friends, A funeral for Leon will be held at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street, Canton on Sunday, January 26th at 10AM. Interment will follow at the American Austrian Cemetery, 19 Washington Street, Woburn, MA. Following the burial Shiva will be at the home of Roberta & Joel Small from 2:PM – 7:PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Leon’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen Street, Framingham, MA  01701.

Burial to follow at the Austrian American Cemetery, 19 Washington Street, Woburn

    Leon was a kind person with a good heart. He was one of the regulars at Fresser’s Deli where I work. We’ll miss him and his sense of humor.
    May he rest in peace.
