Rosalyn Sonia Harris passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the age of 87. Rosalyn was born on November 15, 1937.  She was the devoted daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Baker) Parvey. Rosalyn was the beloved wife of the late Leonard Harris. She was the loving mother of Ronald Harris, Randy Harris and Susan Kramer as well as son-in-law Steven Kramer. Rosalyn was the loving and cherished grandmother of Rachel Kramer, Stacey Kramer and Caitlin Sullivan as well as husband Andrew Sullivan. She was the proud great- grandmother of Forrest Sullivan, Harrison Sullivan, Adelaide Sullivan, and YaelTurchan. She was the dear sister of the late William Parvey and his surviving wife Miriam (Mimi) Parvey. Sister of the late Grace Miriam Spencer and brother-in-law of the late William Spencer. Sister to Malcolm Parvey and his wife and sister-in-law Rita Parvey, Sister Nancy King and brother-in-law Michael King. Rosalyn was the aunt, and great aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Rosalyn’s graveside service will take place at Agudath Israel Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury, MA on Tuesday, January 14th at 10:00AM.

Rosalyn grew up and was raised in the greater Boston area, graduating from Roxbury Memorial High School. After marrying the love of her life, Lenny, they started their family and raised their three children in Framingham, MA.

The family cherished holidays and vacations in Florida, which inspired Roz and Lenny to find a property in Tarpon Springs. There, they enjoyed warm winters under the Florida sun, creating a welcoming retreat that became a beloved gathering place for multiple generations. This haven allowed family members to visit and create cherished memories that would last forever.

A true social butterfly, Roz was known for her warm smile and inviting personality, drawing people in wherever she went. An avid reader and music lover, she filled her journals with poetry and reflections, capturing the beauty of her life.

A memorial luncheon will be held at the Sheraton Boston Needham Hotel, 100 Cabot Street, Needham, MA 02494 on Tuesday immediately following the burial.

Expressions of sympathy in Rosalyn’s memory may be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.ALZ.org
