Frayda M. Rosenblatt September 29, 2024

Frayda M. Rosenblatt of Stoughton, formerly of Norton and Sharon, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024. She was born on January 18, 1936, to Sylvia (Silverman) and Emanuel Harry Weis in Boston, MA.

Frayda’s life was a tapestry woven with joy, creativity, and resilience. A smart and beautiful woman, she had an insatiable love for learning and growth. She loved Shakespeare, the wit of Bill Maher, and she loved good films and TV. Her favorite movie was, “It’s a Wonderful Life.” She also loved all kinds of music. All she needed was a chance to dance and she was off! 

The early years found her at home, raising her four children. Throughout the years, she also opened her heart and home to foster children, ensuring that her door was always open. She created a warm and welcoming space for all, where everyone felt like part of the family. As time went on, an opportunity presented itself where she, her husband, and her brother-in-law built an impressive furniture business in Mansfield, MA. Frayda’s artistic instincts flourished and helped the business thrive.

Life’s trials tested her spirit, but Frayda faced each obstacle with unwavering perseverance. Her positive energy and genuine kindness enriched the lives of everyone she encountered. A true visionary, her artistic talents knew no bounds; whether through painting, crafting, or decorating, she brought beauty and creativity into every space she touched. In recent years, she enjoyed helping her daughter Pam with her antique shop, where she continued to share her knowledge and contribute her decorating talents. Her creative spirit shone brightly in Pam’s shop, bringing happiness not only to her daughter but also to everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. Her wisdom and zest for life will continue to leave a lasting impression.

Frayda leaves her heartbroken children: Matthew Harris (Korey Konkol), Pamela Rodrigues (Nelson), Michael Rosenblatt, and the late Ronnie Rosenblatt.  She cherished her late grandson, Nicholas Lombardi, and carried his memory in her heart. She was also a beloved bubbe to Deanna Ahonen (Cory,) Olivia Lombardi (Bryan), Sam Rosenblatt, and her great-grandchildren Aliyah and Nico. She is also survived by her nieces Elissa Royal and Michaela Denaro, and her sister-in-law Jane Rosenblatt. She joins her three late sisters Cecile Gold, Shirley Sterling, and Lee Blank. She had been married to Herbert Rosenblatt and Ronald Tavares. 

Frayda’s funeral service will be held at 2PM, Monday, October 7^th, 2024, at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street in Canton, with the interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park. 

Shiva will be held at the home of Pamela and Nelson Rodrigues in South Easton on Monday immediately following the burial. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to express sympathy consider making a donation to the Nicholas J. Lombardi “Nurse Nick” Scholarship at Brockton Hospital School of Nursing, or to a charity of their choice. 

Frayda’s legacy of love, creativity, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
