Sylvia was born in Boston on September 27 th , 1932; the eldest daughter of three girls born to the late Charles and Florence (Goldfine) Epstein. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard “Dickie” Marquardt. Loving mother of David Marquardt and his significant other Lisa Riley and Kenneth Marquardt of Bridgewater. Cherished grandmother of Amy Marquardt, Jonathan Marquardt and Taylor Marquardt. Dear sister of Marcia Miller and Paula Camiel. Sylvia leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends like family she cherished throughout her life.
Sylvia was raised on Normandy Street in Roxbury and graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School before marrying the love of her life in 1953 and moving to Randolph to raise her family.
Sylvia worked secretarial positions in Randolph for J.E. Bartlett Company and retiring from Dunkin Donuts Distribution Center.
In retirement and upon the passing of her husband Dickie, Sylvia volunteered for Old Colony Hospice in their correspondence department. Sylvia’s rebellious spirit gave her the strength that kept her going in the challenging last few years and our hearts and thoughts shall take comfort in knowing that she is finally in peace alongside her Dickie.
