Jerilyn Hill, of Sandwich, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer and entered into rest on March 19, 2024 at 79 years of age.
Devoted daughter of Gertrude Bromberg of Boston, Massachusetts and Arnold Pollack of Boston, Massachusetts. Loving mother of Jennifer Barossi and her husband Tony, and Hillary St. George and her husband Christopher. Cherished grandmother of Justin Barossi, Ethan Barossi, Corwin St. George, Ava Barossi and Taylor St. George. Dear sister of Linda Stacey pre-deceased by her husband Kenny, Marjorie Snyder and her husband Martin, Susan Tanner and her husband Stephen, Robert Boodman and his wife Bonne, the late Susan Mish who is survived by her husband Donald, and the late Judi Tabachnick who is survived by her husband Harvey.
Jerilyn was raised in Brookline and Framingham, Massachusetts. She attended Lesley University in her adult life, where she earned her Master’s Degree. She entered into her second career working as an Administrative Assistant in higher education at Stanford University and later for over twenty years at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the Department of Material Sciences, positions she found highly gratifying and purposeful. Jerilyn loved decorating, following the Celtics, Red Sox and Patriots and her beloved grandchildren.
A small graveside service will be held at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street in Sharon, Massachusetts on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 10:45AM.
Shiva will be held at the residence of Jennifer Barossi immediately following the burial, continuing Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. On Tuesday, Hillary St. George will be observing Shiva at the late residence of Jerilyn Hill from 3-7PM.
