BETTY RUTH COHEN (Fischer) of Brockton, passed away on Friday, August 25th, 2023 at 88 years of age. She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Bernard and Minnie (Snyder) Fischer. Betty was the beloved wife of the late Marvin Cohen. She was the loving mother of Bruce Cohen and his wife Lisa of South Easton, Michael Cohen and his wife Paula of Stoughton and the late Gwen. She was the cherished grandmother of David Cohen, and his wife Allison, Danny Cohen, Alexandra Cohen and her fiancé, Joe Scully, Brandon Cohen and the proud great-grandmother of Cameron Cohen. Betty was the dear sister of Jane Rosenston and her husband Irwin, Gail Duby and her late husband Michael and the late Sam Fischer.
A graveside side funeral service will be held at the Netherlands Cemetery, 38 Linwood Avenue, Melrose on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 12:Noon. Following the service, Shiva will be observed at the home of Michael and Paula Cohen. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
