Michael Rantz of Attleboro, formerly of Stoughton, passed away on August 6, 2023 at the age of 72. Devoted son of Sara Goldberg Rantz and David Rantz. Beloved and caring husband of Diane Rantz for 48 years. Loving and dedicated father of Chris Rantz for 43 years. Dear brother of the late Allen Rantz and the late and cherished Judi Silver.
Proud uncle of Kimberly Rantz-Roberts of Okeechobee, FL; Holly (Silver) Staples of Peabody, with husband Rich and their son Alex; and Barry Silver of North Attleboro, with wife Melissa and daughters Morgan, Maya, and Mikalah.
Michael was born in Dorchester and was a proud graduate of Boston English High School, where he was accepted into the National Honor Society. He worked for more than forty years in financial services; devoted a decade to an Event Services position at Foxboro Stadium; and proudly served as treasurer of his condominium association for more than 15 years. With his conscientious demeanor, selfless outlook, and relentless work ethic, Michael was a valued member of every community to which he belonged.
Michael’s funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 8th, 2023 at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street in Canton, with the interment to follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
