Lawrence “Larry” B. Galer of Milton, formerly of Mashpee, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 91 years of age. He was born in Boston and grew up in Roxbury, the devoted son of the late Michael and Ann (Blitt) Galer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn (Hecht) Galer. He was the loving father of Russell Galer of Washington, D.C., Bradley Galer and his wife Anna “Lele” Galer of West Chester, PA and Gregory Galer of Wytheville, VA. Larry was the cherished grandfather of Rebecca Winter, Alex Galer, Peter Galer, Simon Galer, Ellie Galer and Anna Galer. He was the brother of the late Melvin Galer. After high school Larry attended Wentworth Institute earning an associate degree. He went on to a successful career as a Test Engineer at General Electric in Lynn. He also operated his own vending machine business. Funeral services will be held at the Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington St., Canton on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 10:30am with the interment to follow at Agudath Israel Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01702.
