September 29, 2021 at 9:05 pmI am heartbroken to hear Carol has passed on. Dr. B brought sunshine and smiles to Estabrook each day, and her reach with students, staff and families has spanned over 45 years. I will miss her fashion and elegance gracing the halls. Carol has lived such a beautiful life, and I’m so grateful to have known her. When she spoke of her daughter and her grandchild, there was a sparkle in her eye like nothing else. I am inspired by Dr. B’s never ending thirst for growth, the warmth she held for the children in her care, and her superhuman ability to wear high heels, every single day. Carol…..Estabrook won’t be the same without you.

September 29, 2021 at 9:35 pmOur family is extremely saddened by Dr. Berenson’s passing. Both of my girls (now age 8 and 9) were very fortunate to have this wonderful, inspiring and warm human being as their kindergarten teacher. Her wisdom and experience were invaluable to parents of youngsters. This is a huge loss for the Lexington and especially Estabrook community. Our heartfelt condolences to the Berenson family and everyone who loved her.

September 30, 2021 at 2:07 pmOur deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Dr. Berenson. Our family was so saddened to hear of her passing. My daughters (now 14 and 17) were blessed to have her for Kindergarten. She was a wonderful teacher and one of their favorites and most memorable. As a parent, she had a way of making you feel that your children were in the best of hands with her classroom. We will always remember her as an amazing teacher with a incomparable wealth of knowledge, a kind heart and timeless sense of style. She will truly be missed.
