The
primary responsibility of the Schlossberg Solomon Memorial Chapel
is to provide service based on respect, trust and dignity.
Just as there is a way to live as a Jew,
so there is also a way to die and be buried as a Jew. A Jewish
funeral honors the dignity of the deceased and provides comfort
and consolation to the survivors. Families practice these rituals
in different ways.
Our licensed professional staff offers
services which meet the needs of the entire spectrum of the
Jewish Community, from the Traditional (Orthodox), under the
strict supervision of the Chevra Kadisha, to the Conservative
and Reform, as well as the non-denominational and interfaith.
Our staff has the experience and knowledge
to educate and assist families with selecting appropriate options
for their needs including: transfer of remains from other states
and countries (such as Israel), obtaining death certificates,
publishing funeral notices, making cemetery arrangements, and
pre-need planning.
