Ida (Weiner) Bostwick, age 106 passed away on March 15, 2020 at NewBridge on The Charles. Ida was the beloved wife of the late Harry Bostwick with whom she worked side by side for many years as he traveled as the owner of Harwill Blouse Co. Ida was born in Chelsea and for many, many years lived in Chestnut Hill. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Sadie Weiner.
She leaves her adoring children Sandra Needle of New Jersey and Marlene Cortell of California. She was the loving grandmother of Stacey Cortell, Todd (Julie) Cortell and Shari (Rick) Matarazzo and was the doting great grandmother to Tori and Jared Berenstein and Jesse and Derek Matarazzo.
Ida was the sister of the late Barnet and Claire Weiner, Nathan and Florence Weiner, Sarah and Arthur Stone and Joseph and Frances Pressman.
She had a large and loving extended family which meant the world to her and made her eyes light up when she saw them. She leaves eight nieces and nephews, 13 great nieces and nephews, and 23 great, great, nieces and nephews. She had a remarkable family who adored her.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Ida’s caregivers, staff, and the wonderful people of NewBridge for their wonderful care, respect, love and dignity shown her during her 9 year residency. She wished that if you wanted to make any donation in her memory you might choose:
