of Lebanon, NH, passed away on Thursday, October 31st at 84 years of age. Devoted son of the late Cantor Simon & Eva (Friedman) Erdman. Former husband of Professor Joan Erdman of Chicago. Loving father of Deborah Cornavaca and her husband Ervin of East Brunswick, NJ.and the late Karen Erdman. Cherished grandfather of Rebecca, Nathan, and Benjamin. Devoted brother Benjamin Erdman and his wife Susan of Reston, VA. Also survived by niece Kristin Karmazyn of Aurora, CO , nephew Eric Erdman of Dallas, TX and the late David Erdman. Born and raised in Medway, MA, a graduate of Harvard University (B.A., M.A & Ph.D 1964), and a professor and dedicated teacher at Dartmouth College for his entire teaching career where he specialized in the politics of India. All who knew him will remember his passion for classical music, in particular Beethoven, his sports teams - the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and the Atlanta Braves, and cats. He will forever be remembered by many as the Guru of the Upper Valley. Graveside Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St., Sharon, MA on Monday, November 4th at 10:45am.
