of Randolph, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2018 at the age of 89. She was born in Arlington to the late Michael & Ethel (James) Berkowitz of Medford where she grew up. Norma loved to dance and sing, which she did as a career in her younger days. She devoted her life to her family and friends, and to the many cats and dogs that were blessed to be loved by her, including the cats that would show up in her yard and were made to feel at home under her porch! She will be loved and missed by her daughter Lynda DeCourcy & husband Paul of Rockport and son Philip Weiner of Tennessee. She was a devoted grandmother to Jeffrey Strasnick of Malden and Marci Ridley of Peabody. She was the cherished great-grandmother of Zachary, Megan, and Olivia Strasnick and Jared, Colin and Jocelyn Ridley. She will be greatly missed by her brother, Gerald Berkowitz of Colorado. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her close friend, Denise Miller-Migliorini of Easton for her love, care and support. Norma was predeceased by her two brothers, Philip and Robert Berkowitz, as well as the love of her life, her husband Joseph Weiner. There will be a graveside service at the Lord Rothschild Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, W. Roxbury, MA on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Donations may be made in her name to the South Shore Humane Society, P.O. Box 850187, Braintree, MA 02185.
