KANE, Sharon Gail (Fleming)

of Henderson, NV, formerly of Raynham, MA and West Springfield, VA, passed away on September 21, 2018. Devoted daughter of the late Henry and Eleanor (Natanson) Fleming. Beloved wife of Harry B. Kane. Loving mother of Marisa Kraft and husband Jason of Florida. Cherished grandmother of Eve and Rachel. Dear sister of Paula Applebaum of Randolph, MA. Chapel Service at Schlossberg Memorial Chapel, 824 Washington St., Canton, on Thursday, September 27th, 2018 at 10 A.M. Internment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon, MA. Family will be sitting Shiva at the home of Tobey Gooley on Thursday following the burial from 2 P.M. until 6 P.M. and on Friday from 1 P.M. until 6 P.M. Throughout her life, Sharon’s affability and willingness to help others was recognized by all who knew her. Having attended Boston State Teachers College, Sharon moved into the business world by joining the Prudential Insurance Company as a personal counselor. She then transitioned to the medical field, first as a receptionist and then a medical staff office manager. She loved working with people from all walks of life and particularly enjoyed engaging with children to help resolve serious medical issues. Sharon’s lifelong philanthropy was also noteworthy as evidenced by her hands-on support of numerous local, state and national charity organizations. Her latest efforts were focused on assisting battered women and children. In this area, Sharon again demonstrated her concern for children by engaging directly with youngsters in the Las Vegas and Henderson, NV communities.
