was born on February 6, 1923 and passed away on November 6, 2017 at his home in Westwood, MA surrounded by his family. The oldest of three children of the late Herman and Ida Musen, Arthur was born in New London, CT and grew up in The Bronx, NY. He graduated from Stuyvesant High School in New York but postponed college when at the onset of World War II he enlisted in the Army Air Force where he served in India, Nepal, Tibet and Burma, rising to the level of Staff Sargent. Upon returning home, Arthur graduated from The Baruch College of Business of the City University of New York and pursued a career in advertising. He married Florence Port in 1950 and shortly thereafter they relocated to Agawam. With a business partner, Arthur formed Black & Musen Advertising and worked there into his late seventies. Arthur and Florence raised their four children in the Forest Park section of Springfield and then in Longmeadow. After Florence’s death in 2010 Arthur relocated to Westwood to be near his two daughters. He was an avid fan of the Yankees and enjoyed playing golf. Arthur was an early supporter of the Zoo in Forest Park and enjoyed taking his children there. He is survived by his children: Robert (Ellen), Jay, Sara Goodman (Peter) and Gail (Akira Motomura); his grandchildren: Josie Musen, Michael Tannenbaum, Eric Goodman, Marissa Goodman and Janna Motomura; and his brother Lawrence.
