NURENBERG, Bernice (Cashman)

90 of Roslindale formerly of Natick passed away April 6, 2017 at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center in Roslindale. She was the beloved wife of the late Myles Nurenberg. Loving mother of Rhonda MacFarland and her husband David MacFarland of Canton and Cheryl Richmond and her husband Philip Richmond of Waltham. She leaves her only granddaughter Joy MacFarland. Dear sister of the late Bertha Cashman Levine and Sophie Cashman Enkin. Her parents, the late Sarah and Nathan Cashman owned Cashman’s Market on Worcester Rd in Natick where she worked while growing up. Bernice lived her entire life in Natick. She was a proud graduate of Natick High School, Class of 1943 and attended Mt. Ida Junior College. She was a past Commander of the Auxiliary of the D.A.V. Earl W. Harvey Chapter #114. She volunteered at the West Roxbury VA Hospital for many years alongside her husband Myles. She also was very active in the Bay State Cake Club. Services at Schlossberg, Solomon Memorial Chapel, 824 Washington St., Canton, MA on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Plymouth Rock Cemetery, Pearl St., Brockton, MA. Memorial observance at the home of Rhonda and David MacFarland following the burial until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
